MACCHINETTA SONORA

Macchinetta Sonora is a handmade wooden structure with a technology heart controlled by Arduino. Through a playful interaction you can create sound landscapes, in different tones and different visual compositions.

There are two versions: 120x120 and 60x60. Macchinetta Sonora 120x120 has been awarded a Blue Ribbon Maker of Merit at Maker Fare Rome 2013. .

HOW

Macchinetta Sonora is a wooden structure made of 256 cells, each containing a luminosity sensor. Each cell corresponds a specific sound. Inserting a cube solid in the cell the sensor is switched off and Macchinetta plays that sound. Depending from the sequence of cubes inserted you get different sound patterns.
